Margaret Morrissey is Country Human Resources Director, Abbott Ireland. Abbott is a global healthcare company devoted to improving life through the development of products and technologies that span the breadth of healthcare. In Ireland, Abbott is one of the country’s leading healthcare companies, employing approximately 3,000 people. Abbott has six manufacturing facilities, third party manufacturing management operations and commercial and shared services operations in Ireland.

Margaret started her career with Abbott through the Guidant Acquisition in 2006 in the role of Manager, Human Resources, Vascular Division progressing to Director, Human Resources, Abbott Vascular in 2008. In June 2010, she assumed national responsibility as Country HR Director.

Before joining Abbott, Margaret held the positions of Human Resources Manager, Supply Chain Manager and Supply Chain Analyst at Guidant between 2000 and 2006. Prior to this she held various other operational roles in Honeywell Measurex, Waterford Tool Co. and Norton Pharmaceuticals. Margaret was also recognized by women’s executive network in 2012 as one of the Top 25 most powerful women in Ireland

Margaret holds an MBA from the University of Limerick as well as a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree from Waterford Institute of Technology.
